ITINERARY

9:00 AM we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and we will go to the town of Maras and the experimentation platforms. Moray farm . It is believed that in this fascinating area, the Incas created their own micro-climate to adapt plants, flowers, and many other products from different parts of the Inca empire. After this we will pay a visit to the “salineras” salt mines located just below Maras. These mines continue to operate and farmers work in them during the day. Return to Cusco we will visit the colonial temple of Chinchero and its famous artisan market. Here tourists can also take part in the wonderful demonstration of natural wool dyeing, which are dyed naturally with plants, seeds and minerals.
The tour ends in Cusco at approximately 1:30 PM. Upon our arrival in Cusco we will drop you off at your respective hotels.

MORAY.

It is located 7 km. Maras , 1 hour from the city of Cusco along the Chinchero route, is one of the most spectacular visits where there are circular platforms of different sizes. They are terraces for agricultural experimentation and places of concentration of feminine energy, which is considered a magnetic center of Pachamama.

SALINERAS DE MARAS.

Located northwest of the town of Maras Known by some as “salt mines” they are made up of about 3000 small wells. Salt has been obtained since pre-Hispanic times through a sun-drying system of salt water that comes from an underground stream. Once the water has evaporated, the salt is ready for sale.

CHINCHERO ARTISAN MARKET.

This town is located 28 km from Cusco on the paved road to Urubamba. Where the remains of what was the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui are located, it is like a beautiful colonial temple built on Inca bases, its greatest attraction. However, it is its artisan market, originally dedicated to the exchange of agricultural products between the community members of the valley and those of the higher parts. Currently, the market is a true spectacle of color and movement that fascinates tourists with its offering of crafts and textiles made in the purest pre-Columbian style.
